Background

Dr. Anne Marie Lennon is the Director of the Johns Hopkins Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and a Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Lennon is an attending gastroenterologist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She received her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1996. In addition, Dr. Lennon obtained a Ph.D. from The National University of Ireland. She completed an internal medicine residency in Dublin and at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by a Gastroenterology Fellowship in Edinburgh, Scotland. She then completed a two-year Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship in endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP at Johns Hopkins. She is certified in General Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB) of the United Kingdom and is a fellow of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastrointestinal Association and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Dr. Lennon's major interests are the care of patients with pancreatic cysts, pre-cancerous lesions and developing new tools for early cancer detection.
