Background
Dr. Cyd Eaton is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Division of General Pediatrics. She is a clinical psychologist and leads the Patient-Reported Outcomes service line of the Biostatistics, Epidemiology And Data Management Core.
Dr. Eaton’s scholarly work focuses on the measurement of patient-reported outcomes and other health behaviors, such as medication adherence. Another area of Dr. Eaton’s research involves facilitating health behavior change, specifically developing and testing interventions to promote adherence. Dr. Eaton is particularly interested in the integration of technology to promote self-management and adherence. The majority of her research and clinical work has focused on children, adolescents, and young adults managing complex medical regimens. Dr. Eaton’s research has been supported by NIDDK and the Society of Pediatric Psychology.
Dr. Eaton completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at the University of Georgia, her clinical psychology internship training in the Behavioral Pediatrics track at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and her research fellowship in health psychology at the Johns Hopkins Adherence Research Center.
