Direct Primary Care

A new EHP PPO plan available to Johns Hopkins Health System employees in calendar year 2023

You care for our patients. Let us care for you.

2022 Open Enrollment | Frequently Asked Questions

New for calendar year 2023, Direct Primary Care (DPC) will become its own PPO plan available to Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) employees and their adult dependents (age 18 or older). The DPC PPO plan offers the same plan design as the PPO plan for in-network coverage. There is no cost for an office visit with a DPC provider. However, there is no out-of-network coverage. You will have access to the EHP network and the preferred network, which includes Cigna PPO physicians and providers. In addition, employees who enroll in this plan will receive a $240 pre-funded lifestyle account, administered by Forma, to spend on certain lifestyle needs, such as gym memberships, fitness classes and meditation app subscriptions. More information will be announced soon.

With in-person and virtual-care primary care offerings, Direct Primary Care has options that allow you to manage your health care needs on your schedule.

  • Same-day appointments; in-person and virtually
  • Longer hours
  • Video visits
  • Virtual consultations
  • MyChart messages and online scheduling
  • After-hours calls with a DPC provider

Enrollment for Calendar Year 2023

Open enrollment for all Johns Hopkins Health System entities is Oct. 12 – 28, 2022.
