To support our employees who are experiencing financial hardships, Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) offers the Emergency Assistance Support for Employees (EASE) Fund.

The Healthy at Hopkins portal offers five online self-management courses to assist you with managing your finances. These include:
- Financial Fitness: Plan for Emergencies
- Maintain Financial Fitness
- Organize for Financial Fitness
- Shrink your Debt
- Stash Some Cash
Also, customize your topics of interest on the portal to include Financial Well-being so you receive daily cards with financial tips.
Access the Healthy at Hopkins portal. Click on the ‘Health’ tab on the top of the webpage and then ‘Journeys’ to access these online financial courses.*

On benefits.gov, you can find information related to government benefits and can take the Benefit Finder to find additional benefits for which you may be eligible.

- DHS Benefits: Maryland Department of Human Services for SNAP and other benefits or call Customer Call Center at 1-800-332-6347.

Taxes: Governor Hogan issued an emergency order confirming the extension of the deadline to file Maryland income tax returns to July 15, 2020. We are also extending the deadline for filing personal property tax returns to July 15. Read the executive order. More resources can be found on the comptroller’s website

Utilities: Governor Hogan has issued an emergency order that prohibits electric, gas, water, sewage, phone, cable TV, and internet service provider companies from shutting off any residential customer’s service, or charging any residential late fees. Read the governor’s emergency order.
