PATIENT RESOURCES Patient Support & Services
The Women's Wellness & Healthy Aging Program provides expert assistance with the psychological, social, emotional and practical needs of women as they age, including self-care, prevention and healthy aging. Our experts can provide strategies to reduce the risk of recurrence and help mitigate conditions in the future.
Recognizing the pervasive impact of decreased ovarian hormones on a woman’s body over time, program co-directors gynecologist Wen Shen and oncologist Vered Stearns have assembled dedicated specialists from departments across Johns Hopkins Medicine to treat and advocate for women with multiple needs beginning in the transition to menopause and throughout their post reproductive years.
Partnering with their patients, a multidisciplinary team of specialists including women’s cardiologist, bone mineral specialists, sexual health, gastroenterology and psychiatry, provide diagnosis, prompt treatment of emerging illness and the opportunity for a lasting impact on overall wellness.
The Program’s patient navigator works with providers to evaluate the needs of each patient and facilitate consultations with the appropriate specialists in a timely, coordinated fashion.
