Why Give to the Wilmer Eye Institute?
As the largest department of ophthalmology in the country, the Wilmer Eye Institute has earned international recognition for bringing together ophthalmologists consistently ranked among the finest in the field by their peers. Patients come to Wilmer’s nine locations in Maryland from every state and more than 70 countries to receive the high-quality care associated with our specialized teams.
No single group of faculty has had a greater influence in ophthalmology worldwide. More than 100 Wilmer alumni have gone on to become department chairs at academic medical centers around the world.
As the largest research and academic ophthalmic enterprise in the U.S., Wilmer has teams of clinician-scientists working to find new treatments and cures in the fields of macular degeneration, glaucoma, eye cancers, cataract, Fuchs’ dystrophy and other blinding eye diseases.
Your investment in Wilmer makes all of this possible. We invite you to partner with the Wilmer Eye Institute on our quest of discovery and to help us find the next treatment or cure.
