The Achievers Award Program recognizes and highlights those underrepresented in medicine across Johns Hopkins Medicine who exemplify excellence and exhibit our Johns Hopkins Medicine core values.
Nominate a deserving colleague for an Achievers Award in honor of Black History Month (February). The deadline to nominate is December 16th.

We look forward to resuming the MLK day of service for 2023. The day of service is an opportunity for JHM employees to volunteer at local organizations in Baltimore, Howard County, Washington D.C. and St. Petersburg, FL and is scheduled for January 20th. There’s no better way to kick off the new year than by giving back to the community.

We are excited to again partner with the Housing Authority of Baltimore City Office of Resident Services to sponsor 20 families for their Gift of Love program. This program, established in 2004, provides Christmas gifts to selected public housing and Housing Choice Voucher children who may otherwise go without them. It has provided gifts to over 1,500 children from babies to age 12. Last year, because of your generosity, we collected 95 gift cards for 20 families.

Over the past two years, the Johns Hopkins Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity has spearheaded and supported increased community outreach, new allyship and anti-oppression resources and training, town hall discussions, health equity legislation and more.

The purpose of our annual reports is to summarize in one location the progress on the diversity, inclusion, and health equity strategic plan each year. It also provides a resources for us to communicate our accomplishments to our internal and external community.
