The Memory and Alzheimer's Treatment Center is a collaborative partnership between the departments of psychiatry, neurology, and geriatric medicine that offers comprehensive evaluation and innovative treatment to patients with a range of conditions that affect cognition and memory, including Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, traumatic brain injury, and brain vascular disease.

Fundraising Alzheimers stamp returns October 5, 2020

Unveiling of the stamp

Kathy Siggins initiated the Alzheimer’s disease semi-postal stamp to raise public awareness and funding for Alzheimer's research. During its two-year release, the US Postal Service has sold 8.2 million stamps raising $1,061,777 million to fund AD research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Thanks again to efforts by Siggins and numerous advocates, the stamp will be re-issued again on October 5, 2020.

Psychiatrist Constantine Lyketsos and his team have learned how to better help people with Alzheimer’s continue to live at home, and they are putting the guidelines into use all over the United States.

Treating Dementia and Depression – Dr. Jin Hui Joo

Dr. Jin Hui Joo researches and develops programs that decrease barriers and engage minority older adults in depression care.

 

Charitable Giving

Patient care is integrated with research to develop new treatments for Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and with training programs for the lay public, physicians, specialists, other clinicians and researchers in the field.
