Pediatric Burn Center

The mission of the Pediatric Burn Center at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is to make a positive impact on children and their families through injury prevention research, education and evidence-based care. We are designated Maryland’s regional pediatric burn center by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS). Under this designation, our team of world-class specialists provide comprehensive care for all children under the age of 15 in the state of Maryland and surrounding communities, and treat all types of burns. We know that being in the hospital with a serious illness or injury can be very stressful for children and their families. So we take a family-centered care approach and partner with you and your child to determine treatment plans.
