Welcome to the Johns Hopkins Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences! If you are looking for excellence in clinical care, research, and education in relation to mental disorders, you have come to the right place. 
 
  
  • Medical Student Education

    Learning about psychiatry is integrated throughout four years of medical school at Johns Hopkins in the form of require course work, a psychiatry clerkship, and elective opportunities.

  • General Psychiatry Residency

    Also known as the "Phipps Psychiatric Service." The program provides rigorous, wide-ranging training to prepare graduates to be excellent clinicians, as well as leaders in teaching and research.

  • Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship

    Providing comprehensive education in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. The program is an integral part of the Charlotte R. Bloomberg's Children's Center.

  • Other Postdoctoral Clinical and Research Training

    Opportunities take the form of postdoctoral clinical and research fellowships, including NIH T-32 grants, as well as fellowships in adult and pediatric medical psychology.
