Job Opening: Medical Director

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, board-certified physiatrist to direct physical medicine and rehabilitation services and programs for the Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital. The Medical Director of PM&R at Suburban hospital will oversee activities in the acute hospital and associated outpatient clinics. This position will collaborate with the directors at other JH regional hospitals, inpatient units, and of therapy services to support the provision or rehabilitation services in the region. Clinical duties will include supporting and growing a PM&R consultation service at the hospital and an outpatient practice. This provider will also be licensed in the District of Columbia to support activities at the Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital.

The JH rehabilitation units are CARF certified for general rehabilitation and stroke. Totaling 51 beds, they receive a broad spectrum of patients from medical complex to stroke and vent rehabilitation. The Director will be responsible for collaborating with the director of the inpatient service line to ensure that patients in their region are well served.

Major Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing or directing rehabilitation programs.
  • Leadership experience in an academical setting is highly desirable.
