Background
Dr. Ma is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Following her residency, she performed a fellowship in transplant hepatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ma is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology. She specializes in liver disorders including alcoholic liver disease, viral hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, metabolic liver disorders, as well as the care of patients after liver transplant.
Dr. Ma also has interests in medical education and currently serves as the Associate Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship.
