Emergency_Nurses

As a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and a regional Pediatric Trauma and Eye Trauma Center for the state of Maryland, the Johns Hopkins Department of Emergency Medicine treats more than 60,000 patients each year.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is also a designated Stroke Center and Primary PCI center for patients experiencing Acute Myocardial Infarction. This fast-paced and highly varied practice setting gives our nurses an immediate sense of accomplishment and exposure to every medical specialty—all while they hone skills in critical thinking, public health and patient teaching.
