Harry J. Duffey Family Patient and Family Services Team

Department of Oncology Social Work provides for the psychological, social, emotional, and practical needs of cancer patients and their families.  They are masters-level social workers with expertise in the specialized field of oncology.  The social workers can teach you how to manage the stress and changes that may come with cancer.  The office, located on the first floor of the Weinberg Building, Suite 1210, offers you other services as well, such as information about housing, transportation, counseling, education and support groups.  For more information, call (410) 955-8934.

Louise Knight is the Director of the Harry J. Duffey Family, Patient and Family Services Program. She graduated with a Baccalaureate Degree in Human Services from The University of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and with a Master of Social Work Degree from Temple University. She has extensive experience in the oncology social work field and has published in the areas of clinical and departmental management. She is a member of the Association of Oncology Social Work, the Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care, and National Academies of Practice.

Lara Keller is a Clinical Oncology Social Worker with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her master’s from the University Of Maryland School Of Social Work, with a specialization in Aging. She has a particular interest in improving care coordination for people with complex health and social needs, and helping people navigate and understand their insurance benefits.

Donald List is a Senior Clinical Oncology Social Worker with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. He graduated with a Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work from The University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland School Of Social Work.  He has extensive training in grief and loss, pain and palliative care and helping patients and families cope and adjust with chronic and serious illness.

Chaula Negandhi is a Clinical Oncology Social Worker with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and member of the National Association of Social Workers. She graduated with a Baccalaureate Degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a specialization in aging and dementia care. While at the University of Michigan, she was a McGregor Geriatric Fellow.

Kelsey Gustaveson is a Clinical Oncology Social Worker with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. She graduated with Baccalaureate degrees in Public Health and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Social Work degree, with a concentration in child and family health, from The University of Maryland School of Social Work. She has special interest in parenting through a cancer diagnosis as well as navigating insurance and workplace benefits.
