Out of more than 4,500 hospitals assessed, The Johns Hopkins Hospital ranked #1 in Maryland and #5 in the nation on U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals 2022–23 Honor Roll. The publication also ranked 10 specialties at Johns Hopkins among the top 10 in the nation, with one —Rheumatology — ranking #1. The hospital has been designated as one of the top five hospitals in the nation for all 33 years of the U.S. News and World Report rankings.

All five Johns Hopkins Medicine member hospitals in Maryland and Washington, D.C., were recognized in the regional rankings.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital ranked #1 in all 15 medical specialties in both Maryland and Baltimore. Suburban Hospital ranked #7 for best hospitals in Maryland. Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital tied for #7 in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan region.
